Humpback whales + a special surprise.
It was sunny when we left the harbor this morning but turned to chilly cloud cover once out in the Bay. Regardless of the darker sky, winds and swell kept away providing for a pleasant comfortable trip. We saw the typical juvenile humpback whales we’ve been playing with lately but what was of particular surprise (so surprising I couldn’t snap my camera fast enough) was a breaching 1000 lb Mola Mola (Sun Fish) probably slapping down to get some of those pesky parasites off it’s body. I’m sorry I don’t have a photo- you’re just going to have to believe me when I say how amazing this was, It was pretty breathtaking. We made it back to land just before rainfall. Tomorrow looks to be sunny with a calm sea state and we’re headed back out to see what we can find. Join us at 10:00am- get tickets on line or call 831-336-2244.
